This is me!
Hello there!
My name is Eva Erhart and I am the creator of The Sleeping Beetle. This little corner of the internet is where my love for colors, creatures, and creative chaos comes to rest – and maybe a bit of it will find its way to you.
Make yourself at home, take a look around – and if something speaks to you, and you want to start a conversation, feel free to reach out!
My Story
Sometimes the path isn’t straight – but that’s exactly what makes it feel alive.
I’m in my mid-twenties and come from a background in art and mathematics education. After studying at the University of Art and Design Linz and Johannes Kepler University, I discovered that creativity and teaching are not separate paths for me, but two ways of exploring and connecting with the world. Alongside my work as an educator, art has remained a constant companion throughout my life. It offers a space for curiosity, reflection, and imagination – qualities that continue to inspire both my creative practice and the way I engage with others.
I love bringing odd, whimsical characters to life with pencils and brushes, or capturing landscapes in color – scenes inspired by places I’ve encountered on my travels and in everyday life.
To me, imagination is something magical. It allows us to see the world through different eyes and to share our own perspectives with others. In the act of creating, we continually rediscover and reshape ourselves.
My passion for learning and creative exploration naturally extends into the workshops I offer. I invite you to experiment, play, and discover new possibilities through artistic processes. Whether it’s color, form, or fantasy, everything is welcome to flow.
I’d love for you to join me.
